unavatar.io is a 3-year-old project ????
It’s a free service for getting a user avatar, in an easy way. Nowadays, the project receives more than 10 million requests per month and it resolves more than 15 providers and counting!
I started working on it because I had the common task as a developer of getting a user avatar in order to use it as part of a UI.
Most social services don’t have an easy and direct way to just get a user avatar, so the project started just for reducing the suffering there.
